Iberico pork belly comes from the abdominal area of the pig and features fine marbling without excessive fat accumulation, making it rich in flavor without being greasy. The meat offers a delicious, savory, and nutty taste. Iberico is a black pig breed native to Spain.
Raised in a natural free-range environment and fed acorns and olive tree remnants, Iberico pigs have fine, firm meat with marbled veins of rich fat. This meat is high in oleic acid (omega-9), which is beneficial for health, helping reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, regulate blood sugar levels by increasing good cholesterol, and lowering bad cholesterol.
